What is a vulnerable customer?

A vulnerable customer is someone who is disadvantaged by their situation. This disadvantage can come from any number of circumstances. Any one of us can become vulnerable at some point in our lives, and the situation may be temporary or long-term.

Financial hardship assistance

You may be eligible for financial hardship assistance if you can no longer make your loan repayments. Our financial hardship page runs through the options available and how you can apply.

REQUEST A CALLBACK

If you can’t talk freely

We understand that not everyone can talk at any given time. If your situation is sensitive due to a financial or domestic abuser, you can use our contact form to request a callback from us at a safe time. 

Please make sure you include a note to tell us when to call you and instruct us not to leave a message, such as: Sensitive situation: please do not leave a voicemail. Please only call before 2pm on weekdays.

If you leave a note and we’re unable to reach you, we’ll assume it was inconvenient or unsafe and we will not leave a message. You can return our call on 1800 240 008.If you’re in danger, we urge you to call the police on 000.
