Q1: How is my interest rate calculated?

We offer personalised rates based on your credit scores. Your credit scores give us an idea of how likely you are to pay back your loan. This plays a role in determining your interest rate, credit limit and loan terms. For secured loans, we also take into account the value of the asset you’re financing.

Q2: What can I use my personal loan for?

We offer loans for any worthwhile purpose. That might seem a bit broad, but it’s because our team handles every application individually. The most common loan purposes are cars, home improvements and debt consolidation. Whether it be a wedding, your dream car or finally getting rid of those credit cards – we want to know what you’re getting your loan for so we can share in your excitement!

Q3: How do I know I’m getting a fair deal?

We take responsible lending seriously, which means you will only be approved for a Wisr personal loan if your circumstances are suitable and you can afford to pay it back. You can check your suitability by getting a 2-minute rate estimate. Don’t worry, the rate estimate won’t impact your credit score.

Q4: What documents do I need to apply for a personal loan?

This is one of those ‘piece of string’ questions. The documents you need will be different for everyone depending on your circumstances but for a start, you’ll need:

- 2 forms of ID E.g. Drivers Licence, Passport or Medicare card – so we can get to know you as a person.

- Last 90 days bank statements – so we can understand your financial position. This can be provided to us through a secure online portal, so we can obtain the information directly from your bank.

- Payslips if required – so we can assess your ability to service the loan.

For the curious

  • Yup! Just keep in mind that you will need to have been in your current role for at least 24 months and be able to provide your most recent individual tax return and the corresponding notice of assessment from the Australian Taxation Office.
